About Produce REscue
Mission: alleviate food waste and child hunger in our local community.
Our story
We are a team of three high schoolers. We formed our team during quarantine for a STEM competition called eCYBERMISSION and have come a long way since then. Our team created an app to redistribute excess produce from schools to children in need to reduce food waste and remediate child hunger. Using our idea, we won first place in our state and went to regionals. We also received a $5,000 grant from eCYBERMISSION to implement our idea in the real world and are excited to use this wonderful opportunity to help kids in our community!
